The AKG C1000S is a robust microphone powered via regular phantom power or integrated 9V battery. It's an excellent vocal microphone and it works perfect even from a greater distances (e.g. for picking up choirs and so on). It's also an outstanding choice for instruments. A new low-battery LED indicator warning light is located right next to the mic switch and informs you when you have less than 45 minutes of battery life left, so you won't be caught in the lurch.

Features: cardioid polar pattern; frequency range 50 Hz to 20 kHz. Included accessories include the PPC1000 special converter which turns the microphone characteristics from cardioid into hypercardioid, and the PB 1000 Presence Boost Adapter which provides an additional 5 dB high-frequency peak in the cardioid mode adding brilliance in the 5 to 9 kHz range.
