The JBL EON315 is a 15-inch, two-way, powered, portable speaker system capable of full-bandwidth reproduction at high levels and featuring a microphone preamp for the direct connection of a dynamic mic. It boasts a 15-inch (380 mm) JBL woofer and a 1-inch (25.4 mm) neodymium high frequency compression driver coupled to a 100° H by 60° V waveguide. Both components are driven by the discrete channels of a 280-watt Class-D integrated power amplifier. The input section contains all crossover functions, protection, and system EQ functionality.

The input panel of the JBL EON315 offers XLR or 1/4-inch TRS phone jack compatibility. Selectable input sensitivities let you properly match a broad range of devices, from the output of a mixer to an mp3 player or a dynamic microphone. Pre-engineered system EQs let you match the settings to the actual source material.

The JBL EON315 also features three full size deep-well handles and balanced ergonomics. Five standard M10 rigging points and integrated pole mount socket increase the system's utility. The extremely rugged copolymer enclosure has been designed for main and 45° monitor orientation in the left and right hand configuration. A full screen-backed steel grille offers additional protection for both the woofer and compression driver components.
